BO-ECLI
Workstreams
To organize the work, five workstreams have been created.
Workstream 0:
General management and policy guidelines on the publication of case law.
This workstream handles the overall management of the project, including internal and external communication. Furthermore this workstream covers the substantive topic of the policy on case law publication.Â
Workstream leader (and general co-ordinator of BO-ECLI): Publications Office of the Netherlands (UBR|KOOP).
Â
Workstream 1:
National implementation of ECLI.
This workstream focuses on the (further) national implementation of ECLI in Greece, Estonia, Italy, Croatia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands, including connecting national repositories to ECLI Search Engine of the European e-Justice Portal.
Â
Workstream 2:
Linking data.
This workstream focuses on creating computer readable references by the use of natural language processing technologies. Workstream-2 is coordinated by the Italian Institute of Legal Information Theory and Techniques (ITTIG-CNR).
Â
Workstream 3:
ECLI 2.0
The third workstream concentrates on the ECLI standard itself and its embedding in / alignment with other (evolving) semantic web standards. This Workstream-3 is coordinated by the Alma Mata Studiorum of the University of Bologna.
Â
Workstream 4:
Promotion of ECLI
Workstream-4 aims to promote the use of the European Case Law Identifier itself within several target groups. This workstream will also focus on drawing attention on the work that still has to be done, mainly at national level, after the project has concluded. This includes e.g. publication of case law and implementation of link extraction in national repositories. Workstream-4 is coordinated by the European Public Law Organization.
